A game like Rock Band, with phones instead of plastic instruments
Drums, guitar, keys and vocals, one player each, on the same song. No console, no drum kit in the living room.
What made Rock Band special wasn't the plastic guitar. It was the band: four people, four parts, one song, and the moment it all came together (or didn't). Our Band Sucks is built around that moment. Each phone is an instrument, each player gets their own part of the song, and the band plays it at the same time.
There's nothing to plug in. One player hosts a room, friends join with a 4-letter code, and the song starts on every phone at once. Free, in the browser.

What a phone band does well
Nothing to store
No drum kit in the corner, no guitar with a broken strum bar. The band lives in everyone's pocket.
Mixed skill levels
Each player picks their own difficulty. The drummer on Expert and the singer on Easy play the same song together.
Swap mid-night
Change instruments between songs in a tap. Madness mode even switches them for you mid-song.
Play from anywhere
The room code works across cities. A remote band night is a link in a group chat.
What you give up
The feel of a real drum pedal, and the songs you know by heart. Our Band Sucks has ten original songs, not a licensed catalogue, and it's played on a touch screen. If you still have the instruments and the console, Rock Band is the better night. If you have four phones and twenty minutes, this is the one that will actually happen.
Questions, answered badly
Is there a bass?
No. The four parts are drums, guitar, keys and vocals.
Can I use my Rock Band instruments?
No. Everything is played on the phone's touch screen.
How many players?
One to four. Virtual bandmates fill empty seats.
Does it have real rock songs?
No. Ten original songs made for the game, each with a real part for every instrument.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, no ads, no download.

Your band sucks?
Go prove it.
